Big rig crash closes southbound Highway 99 in Atwater

Southbound lanes of Highway 99 are closed in Atwater following the collision of two big rigs, the California Highway Patrol reported Wednesday.

The collision took place about 7:30 a.m. at Buhach Road. The northbound fast lane also is closed because of damage to the concrete center median divider.
