Dogs have their day at annual Sun Maid Kennel Club show

The Sun Maid Kennel Club of Fresno held its annual dog show this weekend at the Big Fresno Fairgrounds.

A wide variety of breeds competed for the best in show honor – from Alaskan malamutes to Borzios (Russian wolfhound) to popular breeds like Golden Retrievers and Bishons Frises.

A 4-year-old Pekingese from Idaho named Parry won best in show.

The show also featured health clinics and obedience trials. The club has been operating since 1942.
