Man who’s trying to walk around the world stops in Fresno
A man who’s attempting to walk around the world visited the central San Joaquin Valley this week.
Bing Bing Li, a Chinese native and Canadian citizen, apparently made a pit stop at Fresno State, Selma and Hanford – all the way from Canada.
Walking shirtless, Li, 46, pulls a cart with a white sign and red lettering that reads: “Equal and unconditional love for all our fellow creatures across all/space/time/matter/energy is the only way out (of the human misery).”
“Omg he was just at Fresno State a few days ago but I didn’t get to talk to him!” a Twitter user wrote. “I was late to a class ugh.”

A photo of Li on Twitter generated almost 500 likes and 300 retweets within one day of its posting.
“If you see him and can help him out, ask if he needs anything!” another Twitter user wrote. “He only accepts what he needs and nothing more.”
I should have asked for his name, but he’s planning on walking across the world in the next 35 years. He walked from Canada all the way to Hanford. He’s such a kind man. Li began his trek on Nov. 28, 2016, in Bellingham, Wash.
He made a stop in San Jose back in October.
According to the San Jose Mercury News, Li lived in China, working as an aerospace engineer until he immigrated to Canada in his late 20s.
He struggled to find work in his new country, and had trouble keeping open a restaurant in Montreal.
As his 40th birthday neared, Li fell into depression and attempted suicide 30 times, the Mercury News reported.
After that last attempt was unsuccessful, Li decided to try to save the world with his message and with music. Li plays the maracas.
According to a Twitter user’s comments after apparently interacting with Li, he plans to complete his walk around the world in the next 35 years.
