Signed up for the Fresno Donut Run? It comes with a unique medal and a sweet treat
What do you get when you combine running, donuts and Woodward Park?
It’s the inaugural Fresno Donut Run – a 5K run/walk scheduled for March 25 at Woodward Park.
Participants aren’t just treated with donuts after the race. They also will receive a custom donut medal.
The event’s unique theme already has attracted roughly 600 people, and the field will be capped at 1,300 runners, event organizer Nate Moore said.
Registration currently is $35 a person.
A portion of the event proceeds will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley.
All 5K participants will receive a custom Fresno Donut run T-shirt, the donut medal, as well as post-race donuts, coffee and juice.
The Fresno Donut Run will start and finish at the Group Activity area in Woodward Park, located just north of the Shinzen Garden.
The event is hosted by San Joaquin Running, Two Cities Marathon & Half, and Fleet Feet Sports Fresno.
