A big rig that carried fruit bins was a total loss after it caught on fire in Reedley on Saturday, Battalion Chief Justin Watson said.

At 9:28 a.m., the California Highway Patrol received reports of a truck on fire at Buttonwillow and Manning avenues. No one was injured, Watson said, but roads will be closed “for a while.”

He added there were damage to the road and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
