Tulare County jail inmates won’t have visitors this weekend. Reason makes sense
Tulare County is not allowing visitation at its Men’s Correctional Facility this weekend to prevent the spread of the flu.
Corizon, the county’s provider of jail medical services, has advised the county to suspend in-person visits.
Visitors may schedule an appointment through the jail’s video visitation program. Once registered, an appointment can be made.
Tulare County has reported two flu-related deaths this year. Influenza is widespread statewide, with 97 deaths reported through Jan. 20.
