Fresno County Public Library hosts annual poetry contest

Fresno County Public Library is accepting submissions for its annual poetry contest through April 30.

Poets can submit poems online at www.fresnolibrarypoetry.org and can compete in one of four age categories: third through sixth grade, seventh through eighth grade, ninth through 12th grade and 18 years and older.

Winners will be honored at a May 30 awards ceremony hosted by Fresno poet laureate James Tyner at the Unitarian Universalist Church. For more information, contact Kari Johnson at (559) 600-6251 or kari.johnson@fresnolibrary.org.
