Over 80 employers are scheduled to attend the Career and Resource Expo on Jan. 25 at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, announced Cory Burkarth, a spokesman for the California State Senate.

Sen. Andy Vidak, R-Hanford, is hosting the fourth annual job fair, along with Tachi Palace and Coca-Cola. Rep. David Valadao, R-Hanford, will also be in attendance. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Job seekers should bring copies of their resume, come dressed to impress and bring a valid form of identification in case an employer is doing on-the-spot hiring. Some state agencies will be testing on-site, Burkarth said.

In addition, San Joaquin Valley College will present a series of workshops that will include resume writing, job interviewing and social networking.
