30% chance of rain through Friday morning
A 30 percent chance of showers in the central San Joaquin Valley is expected this morning, the National Weather Service forecasts.
The moisture is parrt of a storm front moving through the region that dropped .05 inches of rain in Fresno, .17 in Merced and .11 in Madera. The precipitation tapered off south of Fresno.
The weather service also advised travelers to Southern California of the possibility of snow at the top of 4144-foot Tejon Pass on Interstate 5, which connects the valley to Southern California.
