Motorcycle rider dies in solo crash outside of Fresno
A motorcyclist died in a solo-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on the outskirts west of Fresno, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The motorcyclist was headed west on West Whitesbridge Avenue near South Brawley Avenue about 1:30 p.m. when he crashed, CHP Office Victor Taylor said. There were skid marks on the road, and the motorcycle came to rest in a grassy area at the end of a frontage area. It’s unclear what caused the crash.
The rider, estimated to be in his 30s, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, Taylor said.
The incident remains under investigation.
