Run for Ronald McDonald House

The third annual Wish List Run will be held Saturday to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley. The race begins at 8 a.m. at Woodward Park, 7775 N. Friant Road. More than 100 runners will run from the park to the Ronald McDonald House and back, pushing strollers decorated as sleighs and filled with items on the wish list, including paper goods, hygiene products, cleaning supplies and more.

Clovis Rodeo donates more than $8,000 to Valley Children’s Hospital

The Clovis Rodeo Association and Valley Children’s Healthcare teamed up to host the Kids, Cowboys & Clays fundraiser Oct. 28 at Sun Mountain Gun Club in Coarsegold. The event included a tournament clay shoot, auction and dinner and raised almost $18,000, which will be split between the two organizations.

Christmas tree auction benefits Visalia charities

Nearly $60,000 was raised at the 37th annual Christmas Tree Auction held Dec. 8 at the Visalia Convention Center. More than 1,200 guests enjoyed the masquerade-themed event that supports more than 30 local charities and nonprofit organizations during the Christmas season.

CASA volunteers needed

CASA of Fresno and Madera Counties is seeking court-appointed volunteers to advocate in a courtroom for abused and neglected children in Fresno and Madera counties. Information sessions will be held at 9 a.m. Jan. 6 and 6:15 p.m. Jan. 10 at 2300 Tulare St., Suite 210.
