A home caught fire in west Fresno on Tuesday night, the second time a blaze has broken out at the residence, firefighters said.

The Fresno Fire Department was called around 7:30 p.m. to the 300 block of West Florence Avenue for reports of a home on fire, Battalion Chief Bob Van Tassel said.

Arriving crews discovered the blaze burning on the front porch and in the front room of the residence. A hole in the roof that was the result of a previous fire grew even larger in Tuesday’s blaze.

Van Tassel said neighbors reported that the home had been vacant, but they have seen some people sneaking in and out.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
