He was asleep in his bedroom when an SUV crashed through a wall and killed him
A man asleep in his Madera apartment died when an SUV driver mistakenly put a foot on the gas pedal instead of the brake and crashed into an apartment bedroom, police say.
The incident took place on West Cleveland Avenue about 8 a.m. Sunday. Police say the distraught driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The victim had not been identified.
