4.7 earthquake shakes Pinnacles National Park area
A 4.7 magnitude earthquake centered just north of Pinnacles National Park was detected Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor struck at 11:31 a.m. at a depth of 6.2 kilometers. Its epicenter was about 70 miles west of Fresno.
It occurred on the San Andreas Fault, the USGS said.
