6 displaced after two-alarm fire damages southeast Fresno home

Six people were displaced after a bedroom fire damaged a southeast Fresno home on Monday, said Fresno Fire Battalion Chief Tim Fulmer.

About 8:30 p.m. a two-alarm fire started in an upstairs bedroom at a home on Kerckhoff Avenue near First Street.

Fulmer said the fire left one bedroom heavily damaged, another room with smoke and heat damage, and the first floor damaged. The estimated cost of damage is $100,000.

No one was inside the home and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
