The Sanger Police Department is searching for clues about a missing man who was driving from Sanger to the Bay Area when he disappeared.

John McEwen, 59, was headed to work to Fremont, in Alameda County, and left Sanger around 1:30 p.m. Oct. 30. But something went wrong along the way. He never showed up at his work site, according to his employer.

And Sanger police said the family has not heard from him since. His cell phone is also off. He left Sanger driving a gray 2005 GMC Sierra pickup, license plate 7W21697.

According to descriptions provided by Sanger police, McEwen has “Tam” tattooed on a finger on his left hand. He has black hair, blue eyes and is light-complected.
