Blackstone-Shields intersection lanes face a month’s-plus work. Delays? Of course.
Traffic lanes at a major Fresno interesction will be subject to closures for more than a month beginning Monday, so city officials are warning motorists to expect delays.
The intersection of Blackstone and Shields avenues will be affected through Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, so plan now to redirect your daily route or allow for extra time if you normally travel through the area.
It’s all part of the city of Fresno’s Infrastructure Improvement Project. A “major street infrastructure improvement” will begin to improve road conditions for motorists and cyclists, the city promises.
Semi trucks will not be allowed to make right turns onto either of the avenues.
For more information about the closures or the overall project, contact Randy Schrey at 559-621-8807.
