Highway 99 backs up after vehicle overturns near Fowler
Traffic on southbound Highway 99 was backed up Friday night after a car overturned south of Fowler.
No injuries were reported, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatcher.
The CHP reported that a car hit the center divider, then crossed over to the other side of the freeway near Manning Avenue. It was described as a gray compact, upside down in the slow lane.
By 5:30 p.m., heavy traffic was stacking up at Merced Avenue in Fowler.
The crash was reported to have happened after someone suffered a medical emergency. That person was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, according to the CHP.
