Donation to natural disasters victims
The Sikh Council of Central California made donations to the Red Cross for the victims of the hurricanes and fire disaster relief in California.
Harvest Carnival
A harvest carnival will be held 1 to 7 p.m. Oct. 22 at Woodward Park, 7775 N. Friant Road. Activities include food, local vendors, a pumpkin patch and haunted house. Tickets for games will be sold and proceeds will benefit Avila’s Cancer Fund.

Ranch for veterans
3 Stone Ranch will hold a fundraiser for the veterans working ranch 6 to 10 p.m. Nov. 18 at Madera VFW Post 1981, 226 N. Granada Drive in Madera. Tickets cost $38 or $65 per couple and include dinner, casino gaming tables and an auction. Agriculture and the training and care of animals is the focus for the veterans.

CASA volunteers needed
CASA of Fresno and Madera Counties is seeking court-appointed volunteers to advocate in a courtroom for abused and neglected children in Fresno and Madera counties. Information sessions will be held at 9 a.m. Nov. 4 and 6:15 p.m. Nov. 8 at 2300 Tulare St., Suite 210.

CASA volunteers needed
Fresno Barrios Unidos will hold its annual fundraiser, “Noche en el Barrio,” 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 27 at Dante Club of Fresno, 6176 N. Grantland Ave. The cultural event includes food and entertainment, and proceeds will benefit the organization. Tickets cost $30-$75.

Tip-A-Cop fundraiser
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers & Brews will serve the community 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 21 at the 12th annual “Tip-A-Cop” fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics Northern California. Local law enforcement will volunteer as waiters and collect tips as donations at the three following locations: 3385 W. Shaw Ave., 7675 N. Blackstone Ave. and 950 Shaw Ave. in Clovis.
Tulare sheriffs receive donation
The Small Town Cruizers donated $8,300 to the Tulare County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit to purchase another K-9 for the sheriff’s office. Funds were raised during the club’s annual car show in September.
Support local veterans
The Central Valley Veterans Star Spangled Ball will be held 5:30-11 p.m. Nov. 3 at Clovis Veterans Memorial District, 808 Fourth St. in Clovis. The event features speaker Victor Davis Hanson, dinner, live and silent auctions, dancing and more. Tickets cost $100, and proceeds will benefit the nonprofit organization that helps local veterans.
