A car full of teens goes out of control, and the result is tragic
A 15-year-old Lindsay girl died in a single-vehicle crash in which she was a passenger, the California Highway Patrol said.
About 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, Antonio Rangel Jr., 18, of Porterville was driving a 2014 Honda Civic west on Fir Street, west of Hillcrest Drive near Lindsay at 60 miles per hour, the CHP said.
He lost control of the car, hitting a cinder block wall and a telephone pole before landing on the driver’s side.
There were four 15-year-old passengers in the car, including Paola Cisneros, who was on the left side in the rear seat. She was not wearing a seatbelt and was fatally injured, the CHP said.
Alcohol or drugs were not a factor, the CHP said.
