Debris fire in east-central Fresno is cause of big smoke plume
A pile of wood pallets and plastic is burning at Blast Tech in east-central Fresno, sending a large black plume of smoke skyward.
Fresno firefighters are on scene at 1421 N. Whitney Ave. working to put out the flames, Fresno Fire Department spokesman Hector Vasquez said.
Blast Tech does powder coating and abrasive services for residential, industrial and commercial customers, according to its website.
Numerous people posted photos of the thick, black smoke on social media.
