Waste tires being collected
A waste tire amnesty event will be held 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, or until the trailer is filled, at Pinedale Elementary School, 7171 N. Sugar Pine Ave. Restrictions include: Participants must be a city of Fresno resident, no tractor or diesel tires, no business-generated tires and each resident is limited to no more than nine tires. Proof of residency is required.

Republican party to meet
The Fresno County Republican Party’s Central Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at The Wyndham Gardens, 5090 E. Clinton Way. The meeting features Republican gubernatorial candidates Travis Allen and John Cox.
Free dental services for children
TeamSmile and Fresno-Madera Dental Society will provide free dental and preventative care to children ages 5-18, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 11 at Fresno State’s South Gym. Children can get their teeth cleaned, receive an oral health assessment by a dentist and receive dental treatment if needed.

Central Union High reunion
Central Union High School’s Class of 1952 will hold its 65-year reunion at noon Oct. 28 at Yosemite Falls Cafe, 4278 W. Ashlan Ave. Alumni from 1946-1953 are also invited to attend. Tickets cost $20.
