At least one person is dead after a car crashed into a power pole in rural Kings County Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At least one person is dead after a car crashed into a power pole in rural Kings County Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The car hit the pole just before 1 p.m. Sunday, near Denver and 7th avenues between Hanford and Kingsburg.

Both the car and the pole were reported to be on fire, said the CHP.

No other information was immediately available.
