Doctors and nurses at Community Regional Medical Center need the community’s help to identify a seriously ill patient.

The Hispanic man was brought by ambulance to the emergency department on Sept. 2 after being found near Fresno Street and Mayor Avenue, west of Highway 99 in Fresno.

The man, believed to be in his 40s to early 50s, is in critical condition in the hospital’s intensive care unit, and knowing his identity would help in his care.

Hospital staff say the patient told paramedics his name is Armando, but he could not tell them anything else about himself.

The hospital provided a photo of the patient, who they describe as being 5-foot-1 and weighing 202 pounds. He has brown eyes. There are no identifying tattoos, but he has several distinctive moles.

Community Regional asks anyone with information about the identity of the patient to contact the hospital at 559-459-6000.
