Car crash into pole cuts power to 2,000 PG&E customers
A car crash that knocked down a power pole Sunday left more than 2,000 PG&E customers temporarily without power, according to PG&E spokeswoman Karly Hernandez.
All but 23 of those customers had their power restored by 12:18 p.m.
Hernandez said it is unknown when the rest will have their power restored.
Power was cut off shortly after 11:30 a.m. when the CHP said a vehicle crashed into a pole at McKinley and Polk avenues. The vehicle flipped onto its roof, and power lines were down, according to scanner reports.
Fresno police said there were no injuries in the crash, but it is still being investigated.
