Republican women will meet

The Fresno County & City Republican Women Federated will hold a meeting at noon Aug. 24 at Ramada Inn, 324 E. Shaw Ave. Steve Malanca is the keynote speaker, he is the founder of My Job Depends on Ag Organization and Scholarship Program. Tickets for the luncheon cost $20.

Fundraiser for K9 units

The Old Town Clovis Kiwanis Club will hold a K9 fundraiser tri-tip dinner 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 25 at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District, 808 Fourth St. in Clovis. Tickets cost $20.

Washington High Class of 1957 reunion

Washington Union High School’s Class of 1957 will celebrate its 60-year reunion at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 17 at Pardini’s Banquet and Catering, 2257 W. Shaw Ave. Tickets cost $25 per person and checks can be made payable to Charlotte Nunn, 51 Cole Ave., Clovis, CA 93612. The deadline is Sept. 1. This is the last reunion for the class and any future reunions will be part of the Washington High All-Class Reunion.

Cat shelter receives grant

The Cat House on the Kings received a grant award of $75,000 from The Petco Foundation. The funds will assist in extending the shelter’s ability to support the lifesaving efforts in the community.

Food bank gets donation

Community Food Bank has received a $25,000 donation from Wells Fargo to provide fresh produce to hungry families in Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, and Tulare counties.
