Reedley man ID’d as crash victim; CHP requests charge against driver
An 82-year-old Reedley man was identified as the victim of a roll-over crash on Highway 180 east of Reedley, the Fresno County Coroner’s Office reported.
The man, identified as Youa Lee, died in the 1:30 p.m. Saturday crash on westbound Highway 180 near Alta Avenue.
The Toyota Tundra was being driven at an unknown speed when the driver, a 60-year-old man, drifted off the right shoulder and overcorrected to the left, swerved back to the right and ultimately overturned, the CHP reported.
A 78-year-old woman suffered complaints of pain. The driver had no injuries. Neither was identified.
Drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the crash, but the CHP is requesting prosecution of the driver for unintentional manslaughter.
