Expect traffic delays while rumble strips installed near Cholame ‘Y’ on Highway 41
A project to install rumble strips along Highway 41 from Highway 46 in Cholame to the San Luis Obispo-Kern County line will cause traffic delays Sunday through the following Friday, Caltrans said.
Motorist will encounter delays up to 15 minutes from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day, with work beginning at 8 p.m. on Thursday.
The strips will be installed along the shoulder and center line of the highway to cause vibrations when drivers stray from their lane, Caltrans said.
The $121,000 project is expected to be completed in early September as part of several projects to make the roadway safer.
