Two alarm fire destroys Fresno home
Fire destroyed a home early Friday on Ashlan Avenue just west of Grantland Avenue, west of Highway 99, in a two-alarm blaze, the Fresno Fire Department reported.
Battalion Chief Brian Price said the fire started about 4:30 a.m. and was spotted by a neighbor, who called 911. All family members, who awoke to find the house ablaze, were able to get out of the home safely. A total of 33 firefighters responded to the blaze and were able to keep the fire from spreading to structures on both sides of the house.
The cause is under investigation.
