The seventh annual Taco Truck Throwdown came to an end Saturday with the crowning of the People’s Choice Award winner.

Give it up for Fresno’s El Premio Mayor, a four-time People’s champion including the past three straight.

El Premio Mayor fell short on the judge’s cards Friday, when that trophy was claimed by El Mexicano of Fowler.

But it was the people’s turn Saturday, with El Premio Mayor beating out fellow finalists Guadalajara of Fresno and El Mexicano as the celebration of all things tacos concluded at Chukchansi Park.

Taco Truck Throwdown was extended for the first time to two days, with trucks also allowed to park in the infield and outfield on day 2, since the Triple-A Fresno Grizzlies had left on a road trip.

Other attractions included Lucha XTreme wrestling on the infield.
