Coroner’s office identifies man found in western Fresno County canal
The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the body of a man who was found in a canal Monday morning as Peter Melia, 69, of Mesa, Arizona.
His body was found in the Coalinga Canal west of Interstate 5 and Dorris Avenue.
Homicide detectives were at the scene, west of Coalinga, but the death is not believed to be suspicious.
