Fire destroys mobile home; owner OK, but three cats injured, other pets missing
A mobile home in eastern Fresno County was destroyed in a fire Tuesday along with a vehicle and outbuilding, according to Cal Fire reports.
The blaze also scorched about an acre of brush around the Squaw Valley-area home at 50368 High Oaks Lane.
Firefighters got the call about 6 a.m. after flames were spotted by the homeowner, who was able to escape.
Three cats were injured, and a dog and cat remained missing, said Cal Fire Capt. Jeremiah Wittwer.
Damage was estimated as $50,000 and the cause is under investigation, he said.
