Four-day Mariposa County fire remains at 630 acres, 80 percent contained
The four-day wildfire in Mariposa County near Ben Hur and Silver Bar roads was 80 percent contained at midday Saturday, burning 630 acres, said Cal Fire spokeswoman Jaime Williams.
The fire started Wednesday about 4 p.m., burning 400 acres initially and spreading to 630 acres on Thursday.
Ben Hur Road at Buckeye Road and Ben Hur at Quick Ranch entrance remains closed to the general public and is only open to residents.
No one has been injured, and no structures are threatened, Williams said.
