Listening workshop

The Brahma Kumaris Meditation Center will hold a free workshop titled “The Art of Communication,” 3 to 5:30 p.m. July 16 at 4319 N. Fresno St. Those who attend will learn the art of listening: how the ability to listen relates to understanding one another and developing spirituality within oneself. Details: 559-435-2212.

Dressing a girl around the world

The Hope 4 Women International organization will hold a “Dress a Girl Around the World” event 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 22 at Campus Bible Church, 4710 N. Maple Ave. in Fresno. Stitches for the Savior will provide the fabric, pattern and sewing machines to sew a dress for a little girl in need. Suggested donation is $4 to help cover the cost of materials.
