A crash northwest of Corcoran early Monday killed a 31-year-old man, the California Highway Patrol said.

The man was driving northbound on 10th Avenue, north of Whitley Avenue, when the Honda he was driving drifted off the road and rolled into a dirt field. The man, who is from Corcoran, was ejected and was dead at the scene.

The crash was discovered about 5:40 a.m., said CHP Officer John Tyler, but officers don’t know the exact time of the crash.

He said the CHP is seeking witnesses who may have seen or heard the crash or noticed something that seemed out of place late Sunday or early Monday in that area.

The victim’s identity was not immediately available.

Anyone with information is asked to call the CHP’s Hanford office at 559-582-0231.
