Firefighters call for evacuation in attic fire reported near downtown Fresno

An apartment fire led to evacuation of a portion of the complex near Bond and Thomas avenues near downtown Fresno Thursday.

The fire was initially coming from an attic in one apartment.

The fire was reported shortly before 3 p.m. An evacuation was declared for the rear building on the property by firefighters. The fire was contained about 3:15 p.m.

There are no initial reports on injuries.
