A fire in east-central Fresno burned Vaq Auto Repair and damaged an adjacent business Saturday afternoon.

The fire started inside the building located on the 2600 block of North Sunnyside, between Brown and Harvard avenues, just before 2:35 p.m. It took fire crews about 10 minutes to extinguish the flames, said Fresno Fire Battalion Chief Tony Escobedo. A next-door business that shares the structure with the auto store was partly damaged.

No one was injured. Authorities are working to determine monetary damages. The cause is under investigation.
