A hay truck dumped some of its load on a freeway on-ramp in Visalia Wednesday morning, causing traffic to back up.

Bales of hay fell off the truck as it was heading onto Highway 198 at the westbound Shirk Street on-ramp. The mishap occurred at about 10:15 a.m.

The CHP estimated that the on-ramp would be closed for 45 minutes while workers reloaded the bales onto the flatbed truck.
