Did police doggedly pursue this four-legged bread thief?

Everybody loves a hungry Husky. Even when the dog resorts to thievery to get its meal.

The Shafter Police Department shared a video of a canine robber who hit the Dollar General store May 17, stealing a loaf of bread.

“The suspect was able to avoid apprehension and escaped on all fours out the front doors,” police reported soberly on their Facebook page.

Did officers doggedly pursue the perpetrator? Not at all. And it’s possible those are cops laughing on the video’s audio track.

Case closed.
