Meet the newest and tiniest residents of Cat House on the Kings

The kitten rooms at Cat House on the Kings were mostly empty just last week.

But as soon as the warm weather hit, the sanctuary was full of tiny, weeks-old kittens and a few mother cats, said Beth Caffrey.

Summer marks the start of kitten season everywhere, and the no-kill shelter in Parlier has three nursery rooms devoted to kittens. Some go to foster families, but most will stay in the sanctuary until they grow enough and are spayed or neutered. Then, they’ll be put up for adoption.

Potential adopters should check often for available cats. The shelter also relies on donations of cash or supplies.
