Britney Renee Gooch, author of the self-published inspirational book “Putting on Face,” will hold a free symposium in Fresno Saturday on balancing career and family.

The symposium , entitled “My Sister’s Keeper,” focuses on the importance of financial planning; balancing career, kids and single parenting; being successful no matter where a person starts; and going from powerless to powerful.

Gooch grew up in Fresno and is a graduate of Fresno State University and Edison High. She now lives in Las Vegas.

She will be joined by her sisters Lacey Leonard and Courtney Gooch, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Westside Church of God, 1422 W. California St.

Two years ago, Renee Gooch’s father Keith Gooch donated a kidney to help his brother Charles. The donation resulted in nine others getting kidney donations.
