Bishop blesses police, fire, emergency staff

Catholic Bishop Armando X. Ochoa led a special Blue Mass at St. John’s Cathedral in downtown Fresno on Friday.

The event was held to honor and give thanks for police, fire and emergency personnel who serve in the diocese of Fresno.

It was the fourth year for the Blue Mass celebration, which was open to all faiths.

Also at the service was the Rev. Michael P. McCullough, who ministers to the Los Angeles Police Department.
