Fresno County reported more than 400 additional positive results for COVID-19 on Saturday.

The latest 416 cases raised the county’s total to 12,564 since the first was reported in the region in March. The county has topped 300 cases in each of the past four days.

No deaths were reported, keeping fatalities at 112. It is the second-highest total in the six-county central San Joaquin Valley region. Tulare County, which does not update its totals on weekends and holidays, has reported 168 deaths.

Fresno County’s total number of patients hospitalized with confirmed cases of COVID-19 rose by 14 to 311, based on figures supplied by the California Department of Public Health. All of those added to the total already were hospitalized as suspected COVID patients.

The total number of those hospitalized as confirmed or suspected cases remained at 376.

The latest county figures show 3,314 people as having recovered from COVID-19.
