Fresno County adds another 30-plus coronavirus cases
Thirty-four new positive cases for the coronavirus were announced in Fresno County on Sunday, as the total case count grew to 1,482, according to the county Department of Public Health.
There were no changes in the numbers of those who have been hospitalized (181) at some point for COVID-19-related issues, fatalities (22) or those reported to have recovered (441).
Total test results received and processed rose from 18,164 on Saturday to 18,615.
Around the Valley
Tulare County, with the highest toll in the six-county central San Joaquin Valley region, has not posted an update since Friday when it had 1,641 cases, 75 deaths and 588 people recovered.
Madera County reported no new cases in its Sunday update; its totals remain at 84 cases, with 63 people having recovered and two deaths.
Kings County on Sunday reported 130 new cases, bringing the total to 647 positive results, with 184 people recovered and two deaths.
Mariposa County, updated only through Friday, has 15 positive results, with 14 having recovered. There has been one death.
Merced County, also as of Friday, has 251 positive results, 147 people recovered and six deaths.
