Backpacker missing in Yosemite National Park in California. He’s two weeks overdue

Park rangers are searching for a missing backpacker who vanished while hiking in Yosemite National Park.

Kirk S. Thomas Olsen went missing near Ostrander Lake during a trip to the backcountry spot scheduled for Aug. 23-27.

He’s overdue two weeks, the park posted on social media Thursday.

Olsen, 61, is 6-foot and 190 pounds with blonde hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion.

Rangers ask if anyone saw Olsen from Aug. 23-27 to contact the ISB tip line 888-653-0009 or go online to go.nps.gov/SubmitATip or email nps_isb@nps.gov.
