Fatal rollover crash at Modesto boat business early Friday
Modesto police and fire personnel responded to a fatal single-car rollover crash at Briggsmore Avenue and Oakdale Road shortly before 5 a.m. Friday.
A Modesto Police Department statement says the car was traveling east on Briggsmore when it left the road and struck several boulders and boats before landing upside down on a boat at Bob’s Marine.
Fire Department personnel removed a man from the vehicle and provided medical aid, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s identity had not been released Friday morning, but according to a press release, he was a resident of Modesto. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
