Modesto’s Fruit Yard Amphitheater readies new show. See when, get tickets

The Fruit Yard begins its 2026 concert season with Warren Zeiders in its amphitheater. Opera Modesto will present a Czech production at the Gallo Center for the Arts, where you also can catch a view of dinosaurs. And the Eli Young Band will pull into Turlock Community Theatre. These shows make up some of the top entertainment set in the Modesto region April 18-24.

Warren Zeiders

Country music artist Warren Zeiders will bring his world tour to The Fruit Yard Amphitheater in Modesto, the first show for the venue’s 2026 concert season. Zeiders, 26, won a 2024 CMT Award for breakthrough male music video, according to his website, and his first No. 1 single was “Pretty Little Poison.” He released the album “Relapse, Lies, & Betrayal” this year. He’ll be joined at his Modesto show by country rock duo Lakeview.

Opera Modesto

Opera Modesto presents “Rusalka” at the Gallo Center. The Czech opera by Antonín Dvořák is based in part on Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Little Mermaid.” According to the center’s website, the opera “has many similarities with the Disney variation on the story, paired with a tragic ending.” The production includes the aria “Song to the Moon.” It will be presented in Czech with English supertitles.

Dinosaurs

“Dinosaur World Live!” is an interactive show coming to the Gallo Center. “Grab your compass and join our intrepid explorers across uncharted territories to discover a prehistoric world of astonishing (and remarkably lifelike) dinosaurs,” the center’s website says.

Alfred Robles

The Gallo Center will present comedian Alfred Robles and his show “Vatos with Gatos.” Robles has been featured in shows such as “Loco Comedy Jam,” the “Latino Laugh Festival” and on all three seasons of Comedy Central’s “Stand Up Revolution.” Limited tickets remained available for his performance.

Eli Young Band

The Eli Young Band will perform its Texas-rock edge to modern country at Turlock Community Theatre. Mike Eli, James Young, Jon Jones and Chris Thompson have spent decades on the road. The group had three Billboard Top 5 albums including the No. 1 “10,000 Towns” and “Life At Best.” No. 1 singles include “Crazy Girl,” “Even If It Breaks Your Heart,” “Drunk Last Night” and “Love Ain’t.”

Eric Clapton tribute

The State Theatre will bring in a Tribute to Eric Clapton: Featuring The Vibes & Special Guests. “Experience the timeless sounds of classic rock brought to life on stage in a night filled with soulful guitar, powerful vocals and legendary hits,” the theater’s website says.

Modesto Film Society

The 1942 classic “Casablanca” is the next presentation at the State Theatre by the Modesto Film Society. In the film, Humphrey Bogart plays Rick, who owns a nightclub in Casablanca and discovers his old flame Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) is in town with her rebel husband. Ilsa needs Rick’s help to get them get out of the country.

Spring garden tour

The Modesto Garden Club Spring Tour returns with five gardens open for self-viewing, including the club’s demonstration garden. Garden highlights range from a variety of avocado trees, plants, a rock stream, succulents planted in cameras and typewriters, a classic English cottage garden and more.

Earth Day

The city of Modesto’s annual Earth Day in the Park returns to celebrate sustainability and environmentalism. The community event will feature music, games, local mascots, recycling trivia and more at Graceada Park.

Ska fest

Modesto’s Queen Bean will host Central Valley Ska Fest III. The all-day festival features ska music by artists from Modesto, Sonora and elsewhere. There also will be DJs opening the all-ages event and a dance floor.

Poetry and art

Proceeds benefit the patients, families and programs of the Community Hospice program.
