Suspicious death under investigation near Tuolumne River boat ramp in Modesto
Modesto police are investigating a suspicious death near the Tuolumne River boat ramp, authorities said Thursday.
The Modesto Police Department said officers were called to the area of Tuolumne Boulevard near the boat ramp, where detectives are now conducting an active investigation. Officials have not released details about the circumstances of the death, including the identity of the person or how the individual was found.
Police warned residents to expect a heavy law enforcement presence in the area as the investigation continues.
