This California spot is one of HGTV’s favorite Thanksgiving getaways. Where is it?

Lake Tahoe should be on your list of Thanksgiving destinations.

But don’t take our word for it.

The popular Northern California vacation spot made HGTV’s 2023 “Favorite Thanksgiving Getaways” for its “vibe.” The list includes 21 adventurous destinations, featuring volcanoes, beaches and waterfalls around the world.

“Drive the scenic Lake Tahoe Loop and stop along the way to lounge on a beach, hike the Tahoe Rim Trail or dip your toes in the clear water,” wrote Lynn Coulter, a freelance travel writer for the broadcasting channel.

Lake Tahoe — which straddles both Nevada and California in the Sierra Nevada — is a year-round vacation spot because of its variety of outdoor activities including skiing and snowboarding.
