UPDATE: The search for a 7-year-old boy, who was reported missing by his 3-year-old brother, was suspended in the afternoon on Thursday, March 23, according to a tweet from the United States Coast Guard.

Rescuers are searching for a 7-year-old boy after his 3-year-old brother reported him missing, California rescuers said.
The toddler first told a “Good Samaritan” that his mother was missing near Moss Landing on Wednesday, March 22, the U.S. Coast Guard said in a news release.
The Coast Guard said it sent a boat and helicopter crew to search for the woman.
California Fire found the woman, who was taken to a hospital, rescuers said. Officials did not say what condition she was in.
The toddler then told firefighters his older brother was also missing, according to rescuers.
Rescuers suspended the search overnight after looking for the boy until around 2 a.m., KSBW 8 News reported. Search efforts were expect to begin again Thursday morning.
Moss Landing is about 95 miles southeast of San Francisco.
